Copper Suction Line Heat Exchanger (SLHE) for Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

Copper Suction Line Heat Exchanger (SLHE)

The copper suction line heat exchanger (SLHE) is designed for refrigeration and air conditioning systems to improve energy efficiency and compressor protection. By transferring heat between the liquid refrigerant line and the suction gas line, the SLHE increases liquid subcooling while ensuring that only fully vaporized refrigerant enters the compressor.

Key Features

  • Improves system efficiency through enhanced refrigerant subcooling
  • Compressor protection by preventing liquid refrigerant carryover
  • Copper construction for excellent thermal conductivity
  • Compact tubular design with low flow resistance
  • Customizable dimensions and connection configurations

Working Principle

The suction line heat exchanger transfers heat from the high-pressure liquid refrigerant line to the low-pressure suction gas line. This process subcools the liquid refrigerant before expansion while superheating the suction gas, improving system reliability and overall performance.

Applications

  • Commercial refrigeration systems
  • Air conditioning systems
  • Heat pumps
  • Refrigerant economizers and subcoolers

Customization & Quotation

We support custom manufacturing based on your system requirements. Please provide details such as refrigerant type, operating conditions, tube size, overall length, connection type and required quantity for an accurate quotation.

FAQ

1) What is a suction line heat exchanger (SLHE)?

A suction line heat exchanger transfers heat between the liquid refrigerant line and the suction gas line to improve system efficiency and protect the compressor.

2) Is this product also called a refrigerant economizer or subcooler?

Yes. Depending on system design, it may also be referred to as a refrigerant economizer or suction line subcooler.

3) Which refrigerants are supported?

The SLHE can be designed for common refrigerants such as R134a, R410A, R404A, R32 and others. Please confirm refrigerant type and operating conditions.

4) Can it be manufactured according to our drawing?
