Product Description
KAK IHX accumulators combine a vertical suction accumulator with a built-in liquid–suction heat exchanger. The liquid line passes through a coil/U-tube inside the shell:
• Protects the compressor by trapping liquid refrigerant and returning oil/refrigerant vapor through a calibrated orifice.
• Enhances efficiency: the internal HX subcools the liquid line and adds superheat to the suction gas, reducing flash gas at the expansion device.
• Easy piping with clearly identified suction and liquid connections; optional mounting pads and brackets.

Install vertical, keep the oil return orifice oriented correctly. Suction outlet should be above the liquid level. Provide a sight/service port if needed.
Typically a copper U-tube/coil passing the liquid line through the shell. We can tailor tube size/length for desired subcooling.
